Jérôme Poloczek
Jérôme Poloczek (born in 1979) is a visual artist, writer, and performer based in Brussels. Poloczek’s work is characterized by its diversity and fluidity: he has operated as editor, graphic designer, teacher, performer, and writer, yet has never confined himself to a single role. Poloczek’s work often engages the audience directly, transforming everyday objects and situations into moments of poetic, sometimes provocative, reflection. We present a series of pencil on paper drawings conceived as dyptichs in which he plays with the repetition and the subtle transformation of imagery, as well as the variation in composition and layout. It is a sort of intimate catalogue of seen, read and heard images.
