Marie Rosen

Marie Rosen (born in 1984) lives and works in Brussels. Since her first solo exhibition in 2007, Rosen has developed a distinctive painting practice, primarily in oil on wood and paper. Rosen’s art captures ephemeral moments and delicate atmospheres, often balancing abstraction and representation. Her meticulous technique and attentiveness to nuance create works that resonate with quiet intensity, inviting viewers into a contemplative engagement with color, form, and the passage of time. From 2011, Rosen began a long-standing collaboration with Rossicontemporary, Brussels, which included many solo exhibitions at the gallery and solo presentations at art fairs, such as Art Brussels, Art Antwerp, Art Luxembourg, and Art on Paper. Rosen’s works are held in prominent public and corporate collections, including the Musée de Beaux-Arts (Charleroi), the Banque Nationale de Belgique (Brussels), the Ministère des Affaires Étrangères (Brussels), the Centre de la Gravure et de l’Image imprimée (La Louvière) and the Belfius Art Collection (Brussels).
