Charlotte Flamand

French artist, Charlotte Flamand (born 1991) lives and works in Brussels. Her painting practice unfolds between visibility and disappearance, questioning the fragile act of seeing and the instability of representation. Drawing from collected images, literature, and personal memory, she constructs compositions that blur figuration and abstraction. Flamand has presented several solo exhibitions at Rossicontemporary in Brussels, including “Matrix Verbatim” (2022), “Soleil Vague” (2020), and “Le Regard Bas” (2018), and participated in group shows at Les Abattoirs de Mons, Espronceda in Barcelona, and Fondation Moonens in Brussels. A laureate of the Prix Godecharle and recipient of the Horlait-Dapsens, Espronceda, and Moonens Prizes, Flamand continues to explore the poetic tensions that emerge between image, language, and perception.
